As you know, last week we got A LOT of snow, and the worst part  only bad thing about it was that we had to shovel the snow off  of the roofs.

A visit from my grandparents

A visit from my grandparents

A couple of weeks ago we had a nice visit from my Grandparents (previously mentioned here, here, and here) and my Granddaddy’s brother and sister-in law, Stevie and Karen.

The came bearing gifts!  They brought us: home-canned good (including pickles and fig preserves), a cookbook, and a birthday card with money in it!

Vegetable Gardens- Monticello’s and Ours

When we arrived at Monticello we had  about a ten minute wait before our house tour began.
We took that time to admire the Vegetable Gardens.

Wildflowers bordering the garden.

Beautiful Expanse of Gardens

Gorgeous rock wall separating the garden plateau from the orchard.

And this is our garden:
Not quite as beautiful, but much more entertaining!
