We had an amazing time in Nashville, we learned a ton!!!  When we got back we ordered lighting equipment and we’ve been playing with it every chance we get, and can’t wait to take it to Mexico with us. Yes, Mexico, I will get to that in a minute.

First I want to show you a cool photo Ryan took with our new strobe:

No one was home, so he used the tractor for a model.  He is adorable!

So, like I said we are going to Mexico. . .

It is a much, much needed break!

I can’t wait to be sitting on the beach enjoying this weather:

And a cold beer, of course!  ;-)

We will have limited internet access during our trip. We were hoping to prepare some posts ahead of time to and have them publish automatically, but time got away from us.

We are preparing for a long trip to Mexico, followed by a short visit in Denver, and another long trip later this summer to Montana, a really wanted to find something a little “cooler” than our big hiking boots.

We LOVE them!!

They are the most comfortable shoes we have ever worn, next to just being barefoot.

No, surprisingly they do not make your toes feel uncomfortable, although the first time you put them on your toes really don’t have a clue what to do, but after that – It’s Cake!

Christmas Day 2009

In the Front: My sister, Courtney, Mama, and Me

In the Back: My brother-in-law, Sean,  Daddy, and Ryan

Already knowing what we wanted we headed up the hill towards the Scotch Pines.

After walking through all of them, we found two great trees and sawed them down.

Ryan took this photo of me sawing our tree.

He then took the saw, and cut down the tree for Mama Swartz.

Here they are, Ryan and his mama at the tree farm:

There was a young man carrying trees down with a four-wheeler, he picked up one of ours, and Ryan and Mama Swartz carried down the other.

After picking and sawing the trees, the Ostlunds kindly shake the tree, freeing up loose needles and wrap it for the ride home.

They then offer a warm fire and hot chocolate, along with a free ornament for the tree.

We chose a Santa ornament for our tree, to go with the star ornament that we chose last year.

We had a great time picking our tree, and truly enjoy the Ostlund’s hospitality!

My first time shooting with my new Canon EF 70-200 f/2.8 IS USM Lens! Wow!!

PS- If you see Ryan, ask him how I got that burn on my right hand. 

I just had the stitches taken out of the second wound, the one on my jaw, yesterday.

Here it is one week after removal:

The evidence of my cute little wart bandaid is still present.

Chin mole removal scar two weeks after Removal:

Yay! No more hairy moles on my face!!!

According to the doctor I should be mole free!

There is a small chance that they will grow back eventually, but most likely I will be hairy mole free FOREVER!!

And its so true.  Its amazing to have someone in your life who pushes and encourages you no matter what.  Even if things are on a terrible down hill roll.  Someone who will at least let you try something stupid to learn a lesson from it instead of putting ideas down before giving them a chance.  Ashley does this for me all the time (and a lot of other things i’ll mention later), I don’ t know how she keeps her sanity!  She is truly amazing!  Well, maybe just crazy!

I encourage you to go out today and find someone you can do something for.

It makes a big difference to a lot of people!

Wouldn’t it feel great to have someone say “what can I do for you today” instead of: Here do this.  I need it by 5:00?
