Ryan took this photograph in the Arboretum on Saturday. 

The weatherman forecasted 1 to 3 inches of snow for Saturday, but we had a nice surprise of about 7! 

 What a fabulous way to get you in the Christmas spirit!

Ryan and I went to the Edith Carrier Arboretum, at JMU, where we were married last year, sadly the first time we had been there since the wedding.  We had been meaning to go photograph the beautiful setting, and today was the perfect day.

When we arrived at the Arboretum we were walking in and could hear giggles coming from down by the pond.  When we got down there, we found six JMU students building a masterpiece.

Her name is Chessie the Snowlady.

Look she even has boobies!

Chessie, was named after Chesapeake Hall, where these sculptures live.

and I haven’t finished telling you about our Honeymoon,

and there are plenty of other things that I have planned to post about. . . .

but I just haven’t gotten around to it.

We have been having a lot of fun and taking a lot of pictures.  We have also been working on a photography site that we will hopefully have up this week. Yay!

Anyway. . .

Last week on September 1st, the birthday of both Josh, our roommate, and my sister, Courtney,  Ryan, Jenna, Josh and I went for an evening trip.  A little fun for Josh’s birthday.

We went to West Virginia to dinner, at The Cabin restaurant and up the West Virginia side of Reddish Knob.

Reddish Knob is one of the highest points in Virginia, at the top Shenandoah Mountain, at the Virginia- West Virginia border, the peak is 4397 feet.

We had a great dinner, and ride up the mountain, and arrived at Reddish Knob as the sun was setting and an almost-full moon was rising.

It was gorgeous!

So here it is, finally!

It is a great trail that goes, 2 miles, to the top of the mountain to mud pond, then you can finish the loop or turn around and head back down the same path.

It is great for hiking and mountain biking!

When we got back there and turned around, we saw this gorgeous view of Mole Hill in the distance, framed by the mountains.

I love the seeing the silos in the distance.
