It is our first trip to Nashville!

We’re taking three classes offered by Zach and Jody Gray, of Gray Photography!!

When we told you about our trip, here, we were only signed up for one class, since then there was an opening for us to squeeze into two more!!!

And what makes it even better. . .

We have been blessed with a BEAUTIFUL weather forecast:

We are preparing for a long trip to Mexico, followed by a short visit in Denver, and another long trip later this summer to Montana, a really wanted to find something a little “cooler” than our big hiking boots.

This is what we got:

We LOVE them!!

They are the most comfortable shoes we have ever worn, next to just being barefoot.

And -

No, surprisingly they do not make your toes feel uncomfortable, although the first time you put them on your toes really don’t have a clue what to do, but after that – It’s Cake!

This deer just wasn’t in the mood to have her picture taken!

While they were here we also visited Ryan’s parents, Roy made sure they had plenty of plants, seeds, and nuts to take back with them, they rode with us twice a day to care for Ryan’s cousins puppy dog, they helped us work in the yard and plan our summer vegetable garden. . .

They kept us busy!!

We really loved having them up to visit and hope they come again soon!!!

The Maple Restaurant, Monterey, Va

This past weekend we went back to Highland County, Va for the annual Maple Festival.

We had a great time enjoying the beautiful unseasonably warm weather, and the festivities.

The Maple Festival is a great event complete with maple syrup, pancakes, maple donuts, maple ice cream and maple farm tours.

On Sunday We (I) were (was) a little sore so we didn’t do a whole lot.   Although, we did convince Cara to let us photograph her in our makeshift home studio. We got a lot of great shots, but our crazy dog, Sport, insisted on being in most of them.  I guess he wanted his photograph taken too.  :-)
