Done with Mole Removal!

I recently had a mole, well actually two moles, removed from my face, one from my chin and one from my jaw. I had them done a week apart because I was a chicken. You can read about that here and here.

I just had the stitches taken out of the second wound, the one on my jaw, yesterday.

Here it is one week after removal:

The evidence of my cute little wart bandaid is still present.

Yay! No more hairy moles on my face!!!

According to the doctor I should be mole free!

There is a small chance that they will grow back eventually, but most likely I will be hairy mole free FOREVER!!

Second Mole Removal

Last week I had a mole removed from my chin, I went in to have two moles removed, but got a little nervous after the first one. You can read more about that here. I went in yesterday to have the second mole removed and to have the stitches taken out from the first wound.

After reading Dooce’s article about skin cancer , I decided maybe I should take a look at the moles and discolorations on my own body.

I decided to begin by having the two hairy (eeeewwwe!) moles on my face removed.

This one on my chin:

But, when I was at the doctor lying on the table and he was just about finished stitching up the wound on my chin, I got scared and decided I had enough mole removal for one day.

This is the aftermath of my chin mole removal yesterday:

The stiches will be removed on Monday. I get to wear a cute little wart band aid on my chin until then. . .

Anyway, hopefully I will have the guts to get the other mole removed on Monday.
