Photo of the Day 12.31.2009

Goldfinch.Birdhouse

I took this photo of this little bird, which I think is a goldfinch,  at my Grandparents house on Sunday.

When I randomly chose to post this photo, I realized, that it was 5 years today that I was moving into my first house.  The house that I lovingly refer to as “Goldfinch.”

5 years and about a million life lessons later, ”Goldfinch” is looking better than ever and rented to people who keep it that way!  Wow, that house has been through a lot in 5 years! If only walls could talk. . .

 ;-)

That is a Yellow Rump Warbler. See the striping on his underbelly. Sometimes they are called Butter Butts because of the yellow in their tail feathers. I have lots of birds at my house on the water and I bet you all have many, many different species, slso.
