Swoope Family Reunion 2009

If you have seen some of my recent posts, Ryan and I have obviously been to North Carolina.
We were there visiting my family for the annual Swoope Family Reunion.  During this event we usually have an actual reunion at a park of some kind,  but the best part is the 4 or 5 days that most of the out-of-town family spends at my parents house, and on the beach at Carova.  The miraculous part of this reunion is that my parents are placed with the burden of  feeding as many as forty people breakfast, lunch and dinner and they do it without a sweat!
For everyone else, at least, it is a very relaxing, fun-filled trip, during which you gain ten pounds from eating my parents great southern cooking, especially Daddy’s sausage gravy and Mama’s melt in your mouth cornbread. . . Mmmm.
Anyway, Ryan and I arrived a little late for the reunion this year because Ryan’s cousin, Adam, got married, and we had a really great time at the reception
With the permission of Adam’s new wife, I will hopefully be posting pictures of the festivities, when they return from their honeymoon.  That being said, I have very few pictures of the reunion at the park, but plenty of pictures from the after-reunion-party at my parents house.
This is a start. I will post more later.
