This is what we found on the Welcome Mat when we got home last night:

Sport knew he was out there!

He was the sweetest old beagle, and, of course, he instantly loved Ryan. . .

So, he was invited inside, but first, he had to have a bath!

He was a dirty doggie! I don’t think anyone had ever given him a bath

He didn’t like the bath at first, but by the time he was clean he didn’t really want to get out!

We told him he was a brand new man..  He didn’t believe us, so he had to take a look for himself. . .

I think that he agreed.  He got an extra bounce in his step.

It was time to find him a name, at least until we could figure out where he came from. . .

And Ryan decided that his name is Steve. . . Steve Earle.  I think that name is quite fitting.

After all of the excitement Steve decided it was time to go to bed. . .

He chose Sports bed, but Sport didn’t care, he’d sleep beside it. . .
