Mole Removal

After reading Dooce’s article about skin cancer , I decided maybe I should take a look at the moles and discolorations on my own body.
I decided to begin by having  the two hairy (eeeewwwe!) moles on my face removed.
This one on my chin:

And this one on my cheek/jaw:

But, when I was at the doctor lying on the table and he was just about finished stitching up the wound on my chin, I got scared and decided I had enough mole removal for one day.
This is the aftermath of my chin mole removal yesterday:

The stiches will be removed on Monday. I get to wear a cute little wart band aid on my chin until then. . .
Anyway, hopefully I will have the guts to get the other mole removed on Monday.
I will keep you updated!

WE NEED AN UPDATE ON THE MOLE REMOVAL!! LOL
IM AN IDIOT NEVERMIND
I am due to have a mole (hairy one) removed from my chin, in August 2009. I would love to see an updated picture Ashley of what your chin looks like now!! Has anyone else out there got any stories of mole removal from the facial area? Will the hairs regrow after mole removed?? Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Lorraine
Greatings, Ugh, I liked! So clear and positively.

Hi all, we came here when i did an quick yahoo search. Fine site you have here! Keep it up!
Hi, can we see a new pic of the chin? Is there a scar from the mole removal?
Ouch, I had a mole removed on my arm, one that needed biopsied, and I my armed looked like yours after removal. I ended up with 4 stitches. When I had this done I thought that there would be little to no scar, but there is going to be a scar larger than the mole. I have a few more on my body that I would like to have removed and I am terrified now, as some of them are on my face, and I don’t want to end up with a scar on my face that matches the one on my arm. I think they can freeze those off though, the ones that don’t need biopsied. Yours actually doesn’t look bad, so I am curious why they surgically removed it…
This weblog has been loading slowly for me the final couple of days. I thought maybe it was my laptop or computer, but my sister visits your site also and she told me the similar factor is occurring to her. Any ideas?
